Week 11 College Football Pickoff

Last week 4-4...here we go:

(HOME TEAMS IN CAPS)

Arizona Wildcats 34, CALIFORNIA GOLDEN BEARS 27
-The strange betting line movement on this game has made me a bit nervous…it started out UofA -2 on the road and now favors the home Golden Bears by 3. Nonetheless without Jahvid Best, Cal’s offense is far less potent…Nick Foles and the Wildcats keep their Rose Bowl dreams alive for another week.

OREGON DUCKS 27, ASU Sun Devils 10
-Will the Ducks get caught looking ahead to UofA or will they come out with a vengeance after a horrible loss at Stanford? I’ll take the latter…

OREGON ST. BEAVERS 30, Washington Huskies 17
-Remember when the Huskies were ranked among the Top 25 after they beat USC in September? Look for Oregon St. to enter the poll this week after a convincing win.

UCLA Bruins 27, Washington St. Cougars 6
-The Bruins are mediocre…the Cougars are beyond bad…easy pick even though UCLA is the road team.

USC TROJANS 24, Stanford Cardinal 20
-A Stanford upset is the trendy pick…but USC will be much more awake than they were last week against ASU. Stanford’s Rose Bowl hopes are out the window after this Saturday.

Notable Games Around the Country

OHIO ST. BUCKEYES 20, Iowa Hawkeyes 7
-Without QB Ricky Stanzi, the Hawkeyes’ offense is a shell of its former self. Look for another dominating defensive effort from OSU.

Florida Gators 27, SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS 17
-The Gators will not cover the 17 point spread as a road favorite against the Ole’ Ball Coach.

TCU HORNED FROGS 28, Utah Utes 13
-Does TCU deserve a shot in the National Title game if Texas slips up?

PITTSBURGH PANTHERS 27, Notre Dame Fighting Irish 24
-Closer than the experts think…but the Panthers hang on as they prepare for their final two huge games of the year…West Virginia and Cincinnati.

ERIC’S UPSET SPECIAL

DUKE BLUE DEVILS 26, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 24
-The Jackets have been playing with fire the last several games…a slip-up is to be expected sooner or later…meaning the ACC race will be wide open once again.

Have a good weekend everyone!
